Corn Soup Feast!

A huge thank you to all of the families who donated items for our corn soup feast! The children had lots of fun imagining to be pilgrim children doing all of their chores like gathering kindling for the fire, picking crops, cooking and churning butter! 

Here are some photos of our mini-feast:

Each child got to add something to the soup, stir or watch it cooking! It smelled so good!

Next we "churned" our own butter! It was yummy!

Then we were ready to enjoy our soup! Most of the children loved it! A few others did not, but willingly tried it!

While we feasted, the children performed some of the Thanksgiving poems they had practiced with a partner. They love being able to use the microphone!
