Each day in our classroom, the standards and learning objectives are posted on our focus wall. The students are told which standard, for each subject area, we are focusing on for our learning tasks. These standards are referenced throughout our activities and lessons. At the end of the day, the students will copy one of the objectives written as an "I can..." statement in the agenda. In this way, we are better able to communicate our objectives to parents and students can begin to take ownership of their own learning goals. You may also read about our learning objectives through our weekly classroom newsletter and by subscribing to this blog.
