I hope that everyone is enjoying a wonderful summer doing all of your favorite things! I have been having a great time at the beach, pool, water park... and just returned from a nice weekend trip to Lake Ogemaw! I went canoeing down the Rifle River for the first time and it was quite an adventure! It is much harder than I thought it would be and found myself regularly stuck in a fallen tree and bottomed out on the rock bed! I managed to stay afloat through all of the twists and turns during the three hour trip. It wasn't until we tried to get off the canoe that it tipped over right at the dock and into the river went Ms. Moriconi! If the kids were there I'm sure they would have had a good belly laugh over it!
I've also been getting ready for my move back to teaching second grade! It was a very last minute decision and one that wasn't made until school was out. What I'm most excited about is seeing all of my favorite soon-to-be second graders on a daily basis! As always, I have no idea until the office reopens who will be in my class, but no matter what, the kids will have a great year with their teacher from the wonderful second grade team! So I have my work cut out for me moving 20+ years of stuff I have accumulated in the room and redecorating-which I am really looking forward to! I start the great move soon and will be calling on the help of family and friends to get the job done.
I hope that you will find me next year and stop in to say hello! I have so enjoyed the past year with all of you and the precious children. Enjoy the last remaining weeks of summer!
Ms. Moriconi
